As an EMDR therapist, I believe the client has the ability to heal themselves with some assistance. The ideal client would be motivated, perhaps has tried other therapies they did not find helpful and are ready for a new approach, addressing core issues of beliefs held about oneself. I deal with issues of trauma and abuse histories, PTSD, anxiety and depression, substance addictions, codependency, and most general mental health issues of adjustment disturbances. My specialty consists of two main areas. EMDR is a therapeutic approach which has shown tremendous results with trauma and PTSD issues. Coming from this approach, EMDR can also be used with variety of other core issues. My addictions work has been extensive and am proficient in 12-step recovery as well as other approaches. EMDR trained therapist. Also I am a Licensed Clinical Addictions Counselor and am gaining more experience with an EMDR based approach to addiction, unique to the EMDR theory.
