I have five years of experience working with children and their families. I believe every client's needs are different and treatment goals and techniques should be based on the client's needs. I take a strengths-based focus with my clients. I have over 5 years of experience working with children with Pervasive Developmental Disorders (Autism and Asperberger's Syndrome). I also have experience and interest in working with children with a variety of behavioral and mental health challenges. I take a strengths-based, client-centered approach to my practice. I have 1.5 years experience in the child welfare sector. I assisted families in being reunified through parent coaching sessions, mental health advocacy, and a family needs assessment. I have experience in a residential facility assisting with individual, group and family therapy utilizing Trauma-Informed Care. I am currently working towards a certificate in Play Therapy.
