My approach to counseling recognizes the uniqueness of each individual. I have experience working with folks 18-75 dealing with anxiety, depression, relationships, health concerns, trauma, and major life changes. My practice focuses on deep inner work that encourages self-awareness and a feeling relationship with the body. This work is facilitated by a strong and trusting client/counselor relationship based on warmth and non-judgment. My goal is to help you to make sense of your difficulties and become more comfortable with your feelings. I specialize in adult individual and couples counseling. My goal is to provide an environment for you that nurtures safety, trust, and transformation. The treatment modalities that I use include: dialogue, EMDR, sand tray, and existential and humanistic techniques. I seek to find the therapeutic modality that is appropriate for each individual. I am comfortable using many traditional techniques and also have extensive training and experience using EMDR and the I Ching to explore traumatic, emotional and health concerns.
