Barry Lopez, wrote that humans "have a way of talking about beauty as though beauty were only skin deep. Real beauty is so deep you have to move into darkness in order to understand what beauty truly is." This is my approach to therapy: a lot of hope can be gained from a conversation, a shift in our thinking, and learning to be hopeful and mindful of life and our role in it. Hope can be had from looking at solutions, not repeatedly looking at "the problem.". We can choose to not be a conglomeration of our symptoms. I specialize in working to heal from domestic violence, sexual and physical abuse, anxiety, depression, grief, and other issues using Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational interviewing, EMDR, and other modalities. I have several areas of interest including self-efficacy, the mind/body connection, Autism Spectrum Disorder's, ADHD, and brief therapies. I implement Feedback Informed Treatment (FIT) through outcomes data, which allows the client to dictate the direction, pace and progress in therapy.
