Are you looking for a therapist who asks "And how does that make you feel?" Neither would I. I believe that people do the best they can with the resources they have. We all get stuck from time to time in patterns of unhealthy thinking, behaving, and relating, and sometimes we need help changing those patterns. Using empathy and respect for each individual, I help my clients accurately assess their challenges and identify ways they can change, capitalizing on the strengths they already have and encouraging them to build new ones. Working from a family systems perspective, I use CBT and solution-focused techniques to help clients start achieving their goals, knowing that success builds upon success. With a background in mental healthcare, I help my clients identify and access a variety of tools they can use, including psychiatric care when needed. I have recently changed locations; my office is now in Sunset Hills, conveniently located at Hwy 44 & 270.
