I typically take an approach that seeks to find the resources and strengths that a person/family has that have worked in the past to confront the challenges they face today. I hope to create a safe and comfortable place while maintaining the best in quality practice. As a marriage and family therapist, I am trained to view the life context of any individual, couple, or family sitting in front of me. It is important to understand how the unit interacts with its environment and the environment with the unit. MFT training includes individuals as well as families. I am one of few MFTs, Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselors, and EMDR trained in our area.
