You may be doing well overall, but need support around a specific issue. Or, are you burning out and on the verge of breaking up? Most stepfamilies reach burnout, which can be just what is needed to drive the necessary changes. Whatever your circumstances, you are committed to improving your life. You want to think, feel, and act with greater power to transform your situation. I call this "Stepping Up". Clients have called our work together in coaching, counseling, support groups and workhops "life changing", "a relief, " and "a blessing." Much advice that helps biological parents backfires for stepparents. The typical stepcouple confronts intense emotions, complex dynamics, and power imbalances. Learning to be a stepfamily happens in 7 stages over four to seven years. It's hard. I use methods that can more than double the odds of success. I am also a stepparent. I get it. My approach is directive, which means you receive caring support with expert guidance focused on your goals. I work with individuals and stepcouples. I am a certified stepfamily coach and train and work with counselors. We can meet in person or remotely.
