Encompassing ten day treatment clinics, four outpatient mental health centers, and one school-based mental health program, Ascent approaches treatment in a holistic manner and designs programs that foster client success. Comprised of mental health professionals, physical therapists, qualified developmental specialists, teachers, and medical personnel, the experienced and dedicated staff at every Ascent location utilizes proven, multidisciplinary therapeutic techniques that encourage clients to achieve their highest potential. By offering services in a setting conducive to learning and thriving, clients are able to overcome mental health concerns and improve functioning when a developmental disorder is present. Programs and Levels of Care Ascent Children's Health Services offers varying levels of care and programs to meet the needs of those who need it most. For children struggling with mental health disorders or developmental delays, Ascent offers two day treatment programs that implement psychological testing and therapies that are administered by childhood developmental professionals and other specialists experienced in treating mental health concerns and developmental issues. Additionally, Ascent offers outpatient programming that addresses emotional, nutritional, medical, educational, and cognitive needs of toddlers, children, and adolescents, thought this program is not as intensive as the day treatment program at Ascent. Lastly, Ascent offers school-based treatment for children suffering from mental illnesses. By collaborating with both public and private schools, this program affords children the ability to further their education while receiving effective mental healthcare. Medication management and counseling sessions are also available in this program. Regardless of the level of care required, each client receives an individualized treatment plan that meet their unique needs. Family involvement is also encouraged in every Ascent program as ongoing support from caregiver is crucial for clients to thrive. Admissions Process For those seeking behavioral health services or treatment for developmental concerns, an evaluation with one of Ascent's qualified mental health professionals is but a phone call away. During the admissions process, the program directors, admissions coordinators, and clinical services coordinators collaborate to complete a thorough evaluation of every client's needs. The staff at Ascent want to ensure that clients will benefit from the programs offered and work to ensure that each client is engaged in the best-suited program. Mental health concerns, medical needs, and other relevant client history is gathered and once it is deemed that an Ascent program is appropriate, a client is admitted and the road to achieving one's highest potential can commence.
