I believe that change is a choice that begins with simply asking for help. My counseling approach is client centered and solution focused. My specialties include eating disorders, substance abuse disorders and PTSD. I have experience leading both Trauma Informed Care groups and Substance Abuse treatment groups. In addition, I am a Registered Yoga Alliance Teacher (RYT-200hr) providing clients with a unique blend of stress management and recovery coping skills that are based on a holistic view of counseling. My passion in counseling is to help guide clients through the process of hope, healing, and renewed faith. I have worked in the local Savannah area as an Eating Disorder and Substance Abuse Counselor in both inpatient and outpatient treatment centers for several years. Combining my own personal recovery from an eating disorder with my clinical experience, I understand the tough challenges that both behavioral and chemical addictions present. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I hold a B.S. in Biology from Emory University. I completed my first Masters of Science in Exercise Physiology from Georgia Southern University. I continued to follow my goal to create a holistic counseling approach and completed my second Masters of Art in Professional Counseling at Liberty University.
