Often by the time a client calls for help, he or she has already tried to change by themselves. What I offer first is information about mental wellness and/or addiction as it relates to your particular difficulty. Sometimes just understanding why we do what we do is the first step to change. Then together we work on a plan to help reach a goal as you define it. Change is always possible: unfortunately, we often struggle until the pain of staying the way we are is worse than the pain of the change. Success is worth the effort! I have over 14 years experience working with all kinds of people in community mental health and addictions, in partial hospitalization programs (PHP) and in early intervention programs. There is no problem too small or too large to address. Heron Pond Counseling, Inc. is a small, comfortable practice located in historic downtown Inverness.
