I graduated from The Ohio State University with an MSW in Clinical Social Work. I am currently working as a therapist for Syntero, Inc. at the Dublin Counseling Center office. My primary interest is in the area of trauma and dissociation, for which I have received additional training through the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation (ISSTD). I have completed training in EMDR, clinical hypnosis, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, and CISM. I believe in the unique power of individuals and use of their strengths to overcome obstacles in life. I am very client-centered, basing my work on the individual needs and preferences of my clients. Predominantly I use Solution-focused therapy, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, EMDR, Narrative Therapy, and DBT. I've worked with individuals experiencing grief and loss, anxiety, depression, trauma-related issues, dissociation, and eating disorders. Prior to my interest in social work, I was a teacher for over 15 years working with children and adolescents in a regular and special education classroom setting. I have a BA in Early Childhood Education, and an M.Ed. in Special Education: Emotional/Behavioral Disorders.
