Reaching out for help can be a very scary confusing time. My 20+ years as a licensed Professional counselor has made me realize that it can be difficult to find a therapist that can be authentic, genuine and caring. It is my priority to build trust and find what the client wants to receive from therapy. The client may be discussing issues and conflicts that they have never told anyone before. The client's primary focus is to be as honest and forthcoming as possible and willing to exchange ideas and information that will help relieve their pain and suffering. My history as a therapist has led me to specialize in Mood Disorders; Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Personality Disorders, Anxiety and Panic disorders. I have led several groups that help clients understand what the symptoms are and how to best cope and stabilize these issues. I also work with couples and marriage counseling. Clients have told that they feel very safe and trusting with me. I have recently started to see adolescents and this can be a very confusing and sometimes painful time in their lives. They want to separate from the dependency of their parents and start to actualize their growth and maturity.
