I specialize in helping individuals and married couples who are feeling really stuck in emotional and/or relational pain. Many of my clients are looking for a therapist who is a Christian and can provide Bible-based counseling while we're working together with God to heal their emotional injuries. My approach is holistic (physical, mental & emotional, spiritual, and relational aspects of a person's healing and growth). I am trained and experienced in EMDR therapy, and also provide traditional therapy options. EMDR therapy is often used to heal and recover from traumatic experiences, fears/phobias, and negative self-beliefs. If you find yourself continuing to be bothered by how you react to 'triggers' related to things from the past, we can likely do some good work together. There is hope and freedom available after living through terrible events and relationships, even when it feels like there's none. I also treat military personnel, health care workers, police officers, and firefighters who need to get back to being confident in their work after a trauma/PTSD. I work with professionals, athletes, and others wanting to improve their performance by removing and replacing mental and emotional barriers to their success.
