As a psychologist, my primary areas of interest include child and family functioning. In particular, my professional focus is in pediatric neuropsychology and neuropsychological assessment. Much of my formal training and my personal interest has focused upon the assessment of neurodevelopmental disorders, including: Gifted Intellect & Asynchronous Development, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Executive Dysfunction (e.g., attention, impulse control, and executive function deficits), and Learning Disorders. I maintain a strong interest in neurodevelopmentally-based interventions addressing executive functioning (ADHD, Autism, learning disorders, gifted asynchronous development). This approach incorporates exercises and techniques frequently used in speech/language therapy, occupational therapy, and physical therapy, with application to academics. We offer this intervention through our Motor Cognition 2® program. My services also include offering psychoeducation to parents and teachers to help them understand the neurodevelopmental basis of their child's behavior, experience, and functioning. This can help caregivers more fully understand their child and continue to guide their child's development. I also provide individual child psychotherapy services.
