Life consistently brings forth difficult challenges and as human beings, we struggle in ways that can be painful and difficult to overcome. I am a licensed bilingual (English-Spanish) clinical psychologist in private practice in Aventura. My therapeutic approach is warm, empathic and supportive as I believe that the relationship I develop with clients is tantamount to healing and growth. I believe that positive and lasting change comes from both a deepened understanding and insight into one's self, coupled with the development of coping strategies/skills to manage distress. I am collaborative and work to tailor my treatment to my client's individual needs. My specialties include the treatment of preadolescents (tweens), adolescents and adults. I am experienced in treating concerns such as depression, anxiety, major life transitions, relationship difficulties, self-esteem issues, trauma, grief and loss and behavioral issues. I also conduct gifted/IQ testing, psychological and psycho-educational/ learning disability assessments. I know that reaching out for help can leave one feeling vulnerable.
