My current practice draws on my 20 years of experience in the field, working in mental health and addictions treatment. I currently provide psychotherapy to people with co-occurring mental and physical health challenges in a family medicine practice. In my private practice I use therapy as a vehicle to help people create the reality they want for themselves, especially when they are feeling stuck or disconnected from the life they would like to have. I use an integrated approach, drawing from a number of therapeutic modalities including strengths-based, solution-focused and mindfulness based cognitive behavioral therapy. I work with people who have a broad range of life issues, including physical health challenges (chronic pain, disabling medical conditions) transitions (trauma, divorce, grief and loss) and symptoms including depression, anxiety, panic and post-traumatic stress disorder. I have an additional specialty in addictions treatment based on experience and certification.
