When you are looking for a therapist you want someone with training and experience that you can trust. This paragraph will serve to briefly explain my background and experience. I graduated from San Francisco State University with a masters degree in social work in May of 1988. I worked on my post graduate licensing hours in two different settings so that I could continue training to work with both children and adults. I worked in an out patient mental health clinic with sexually abused children and their families and worked in group treatment with adolescents male sex offenders. I also studied with a therapist in private practice who primarily treated personality disorders and gained more expertise in that area. I earned my LCSW in 1992 and am currently licensed in both California and Nevada. In 2000 I relocated to Reno and continued my work in individual, family and group therapy. I am currently working for an outpatient clinic and have developed a close alliance with many services in this community. I have a variety of education and experience and have developed a particular expertise in working with personality disorders,depression,anxiety, play therapy, trauma victims, and the gay/lesbian/transgender community.
