Marriage or couples counseling is my specialty. My sole purpose is to help couples stay together. I help people create a strong foundation of trust, respect and commitment in their relationships. As clients rebuild this foundation they learn how to better express their love for each other. Couples will improve their communication skills with rational decision making, as opposed to destructive fighting. Couples must become more deliberate in their approach to each other by prioritizing their energy and time for each other. When both individuals engage the therapy is very successful. I have extensive experience with couples where there has been an affair. Affairs create emotional trauma that deeply hurt both the person who remained faithful and the person who was unfaithful. Couples can recover from affairs with atonement and forgiveness as they rebuild trust in their partners. Other areas of focus include low sexual expression, financial conflict, co-parenting and blended families.
