I provide guidance to children and adults with learning and emotional problems. Often individuals and families come to me after trying other interventions such as psychotherapy, tutoring, or medication. As a neuropsychologist, I provide comprehensive evaluations to clarify a client's learning profile, promote greater self-awareness, and generate tailored recommendations for home, school, and work. As a psychotherapist, I help clients to value themselves, focus on the present, and resolve conflicts that block them from being successful in their school, work, and personal life. In addition to being a clinical psychologist, I have advanced training in neuropsychology, enabling me to understand how brain systems can impact learning and behavior in my clients. I also work in a rehabilitation hospital and understand how clients with disabilities can find satisfaction and success. I provide Cogmed Working Memory Training, an evidence based intervention to improve attention and working memory. Working memory is necessary for many tasks including following instructions, mental math, reading comprehension, and writing. This exciting computer training program is well researched and has helped many children and adults be more successful.
