REBUILDING STRENGTHS, RESILIENCE & HOPE - is my WORKING philosophy. My practice is built upon an unshakable belief in clients' inherent strengths to achieve problem resolution, healthier functioning & development of authentic Self. My goal is to help clients become victorious over depression, anxiety/panic attacks, relationship difficulties (attachment & personality troubles), PTSD, Trauma Experiences, physical as well as mental health/illness, grief & bereavement. I am firmly grounded in social work principles & believe clients want to resolve their individual and/or relationship issues and then get on with living in a more authentic & happier way. We look at the past to learn, not blame. My training as a Somatic Practitioner, Level II EMDR clinician, hypnotherapist, & in other methods acknowledging that inherited traits, combined with behaviors learned within the context of relationships, enable me to treat Trauma (sexual/physical abuse, accidents, natural disasters),military/veterans issues, depression,anxiety, bipolar, Self-Esteem & relationship issues. I am the only therapist in lower Rhode Island and SE CT trained & Certified in Somatic Experiencing & in post-certification SE Touch. I do not use any single approach to treatment & thoughtfully blend cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic & body- based techniques & utilize material regarding how brain functioning affects human behavior. .
