Program at a Glance Located in Reno, Nevada and nestled in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, the Center for Hope of the Sierras offers residential, extended partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs for the treatment of anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating, and related disorders. In addition, we offer a highly specialized track for the treatment of co-occurring diabetes and eating disorders that is among the first in the country. Detailed Program Description Located only 30 minutes from beautiful and majestic Lake Tahoe, Center for Hope's residential care is provided in a cozy country style home with 10 beds. Partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient care is provided just a few miles away and offers transitional living. Treatment at Center for Hope uses a combination of individual, family and group therapies including Intuitive Eating, DBT skills, Mindful Movement, Anxiety Management, Equine therapy, Yoga, Art therapy, cooking classes and community outings to support and promote self-care and long-term recovery. Treatment is provided by highly qualified eating disorder professionals including a registered dietician and nutrition therapist with her PhD in nutritional biochemistry, a medical internist, sports psychologist, psychiatrist, licensed marriage and family therapists, licensed clinical social workers, and a staff of 24-hour nursing and patient assistants.
