I specialize in treating children and adolescents with a variety of presenting issues specifically obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). I treat OCD with a type of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) known as Exposure and Ritual Prevention (ERP) the gold standard for this disorder. OCD can be treated quickly and effectively with this technique, with treatment taking 10-20 sessions. Families are an important part of the process, and I involve them every step of the way. One of my other areas of expertise is assessment, testing and evaluation for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder in Children (ADHD). In addition I also treat depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety disorders, as well as body image and eating disturbances. In my clinical work I utilize evidence based treatment modalities including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT), as well as play and expressive techniques. I received specialized training and clinical experience in empirically supported treatments for children, adolescents, and their families, sex offender treatment, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depressive and anxiety disorders, as well as serious mental illness.
