I have worked as a Clinical Psychologist for over 15 years in both inpatient and outpatient settings, most recently in a private practice. My training was in an American Psychological Association approved program, and I completed a predoctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship at Veteran's Affairs Medical Centers. I specialize in the treatment of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, other Anxiety Disorders, and Personality problems. I also specialize in therapy for issues related to death and dying. I am especially attendant to needs of the LBGT community. I combine psycho-dynamic, mindfulness-based, and other techniques in treatment. I believe that the client should participate fully in forming their own treatment plan and attendant goals. Therapy should be collaborative, emphasize strengths, and utilize allied professions as appropriate and desired. I greatly respect the dignity of every individual, and have a terrific sense of humor. Dream work is available. My professional license is active and up to date. I have never had a complaint against my license. I periodically take continuing education courses to keep up to date with advances in the field. I work very well with medical professionals to coordinate care where appropriate.
