I offer support to individuals who are dedicated to achieving social and environmental justice through action, intellect, art, and music. My fees are low because I know the system does not reward those who work to transform it. I invite activists to a dialogue aiming to increase self-understanding and effectiveness in their work for social change. I invite reflection on life decisions, worldviews, and the dynamics of hope, anger, and despair. My practice draws on feminist psychoanalysis and critical social theory. I do not see clients who seek support with acute emotional crises or serious mental health issues. I have been a psychology professor, community organizer, and activist for several decades. My books include "Life Choices: Understanding Dilemmas and Decisions" and "Damaged Life: The Crisis of the Modern Psyche". I help clients to sort out the contexts of life history, ideological processes, and practical matters in life. Having been a visiting professor in Central America, I am fluent in Spanish. I am a co-founder of the Cascadia Center for Social Ecology, a collective that focuses on developing support and resources for activists. . . . We can work by Skype or phone if needed.
