I specialize in working with substance use disorders, depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, and trauma. I have extensive experience in working with crisis, children and adolescents with conduct and emotional difficulties, and adults, including professionals, facing a variety of challenges including emotion regulation and relationship difficulties. I have been working with clients for approximately 4 years in a variety of settings, including community mental health, schools, an intensive outpatient substance abuse center, private practice, and an inpatient treatment center. I utilize an integrative approach including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), sandtray therapy, hypnosis, and other approaches. In working with substance use disorders, I have a broad understanding of traditional 12-Step programs (AA, NA) and alternatives such as SMART Recovery. I can integrate these philosophies into individual treatment if desired. I work jointly with clients to identify and structure their goals while developing new strategies for coping with the difficulties they face. I believe treatment should be individualized and I will work with you to develop a treatment plan to accomplish your goals while adhering to evidenced based best practices.
