I believe in the value of the therapeutic relationship and the progress that can be made in a safe and supportive setting. My work in the school setting over the past nine years offered an invaluable experience and helped me to understand the challenges and demands our youth face today. When social, educational, and family stress seem to be increasing, therapy can offer a safe haven in which they can build on their strengths and develop new effective coping skills. Together we can work toward a more healthy and joyful self. I specialize in work with children and adolescents who are dealing with issues such as anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, school challenges, and behavior problems. I also work with young adults dealing with college stress, life transitions, mood disorders, and grief and loss. I understand the demands of the full lives and schedules which many families balance. In order to meet the needs of my clients I offer evening and Saturday appointments. I look forward to learning about your life and how I may work with you on your journey.
