I treat a wide variety of mental health concerns for adults, youths, and children in a caring, supportive atmosphere where conversation and listening is key. I tailor the therapeutic experience to your expressed needs, comfort, and goals. We explore your story together as equals; sharing kindness, respect, and good humor wherever it may be found. My client's frequently comment that appointments are a warm, comfortable, inviting conversation between good friends. Conversation is based on mutual respect, equality, sharing between client & therapist, the liberal use of humor in the exchange, and real-life practical ideas. I teach practical,parenting techniques to assist client's in reducing stress at home. The therapeutic focus is on developing and consistently reinforcing positive child behaviors while reducing child verbal and physical aggression directed at parents and siblings. Parents receive practical guidance and learn simple and effective methods that work! I have a practical, client-centered, good humored, conversational approach with my client's. As a licensed provider I can also do your alcohol assessment, substance assessment, mental health assessment for court, probation, school, etc.
