I primarily use a supportive, brief, direct solution focused model for treatment, but I also use other counseling strategies as indicated. My training is substantiated by Psychiatric Institute of Washington, D.C., John Hopkins Hospital (i.e. Adolescent Psychiatry); and Medical College of Virginia: Psychiatric Genetics. Additional training in forensics: USF. As an ordained minister I use a spiritual orientation if ethically and psychologically indicated. In addition I am a charter member of The Association of Christian Counselors. I was also a national representative for World Challenge, with a documented success rate of 86% of patients being heroin-free after 5 years.
