I specialize in working with children and adolescents targeting ADHD, behavioral issues, anger management, depression, and anxiety. I also offer psychological evaluations addressing possible ADHD, learning disabilities, processing deficits, dyslexia, or emotional/behavioral issues. I provide individual counseling, parent coaching, and psychological evaluations. I also work with schools in terms of observations or consultation. I am currently a consultant at the The Westminster Schools (Lower School and Middle School) . I received my undergraduate degree at Texas A&M University and my PhD in School Psychology at Pennsylvania State University. I have worked with children and adolescents for over 20 years. I approach difficulties utilizing a cognitive-behavioral, directive play therapy, and interpersonal approach. I work with individuals in a respectful, warm, inviting, and relaxed manner. Children typically feel safe and comfortable during sessions or testing as the office is organized in a child-friendly manner. My goal of therapy is to produce change resulting in a more functional, calm, respectful family environment by providing coping skills to both parents and children. Often, parents report that after completing therapy, the family is happier, behavioral issues are significantly decreased, and "I feel like I have my child back".
