My passion and experience is extensive in the areas of mood, emotional regulation, trauma, ADHD, ASD, addictions, co-dependency, family of origin issues and adolescent challenges. I address mind, body, family systems, vocation, academics, hobbies and spirituality simultaneously. When requested by a client, a Christian perspective can be integrated into the therapy process. I am client-centered and develop a series of interventions that are challenging without being shaming. I have 17 years of experience sharing hope, humor (I often laugh with my client's in session) and professionalism. References from physicians, schools or other professionals area available per request. Although, I am primarily cognitive-behavioral in my approach, I also utilize the highly researched Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) protocols in my practice. Both are shown to be very effective. EMDR has also shown to greatly expedite the time one spends in treatment. I facilitate and I am trained in "Peak Performance" therapy. Sessions are available for anyone interested in jump starting their career, bouncing back from a career obstacle and those who want to improve their athletic ability.
