I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I received my graduate degree from the University of New England in Maine. I have been providing psychotherapy for a number of years and enjoy it very much. While attending graduate school, I specialized in processing the emotional scars left from traumatic experience. I have had the opportunity to work with people residing in homeless shelters in the state of Maine to traumatized veterans in Arkansas. After a few years working with adolescents, I had the opportunity to work in private practice with a competent and compassionate psychiatrist DR. Shamshad Haroon MD. Because of my experience with individuals suffering with symptoms associated with trauma, I utilize the therapeutic approach Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). This therapeutic approach has been used over the last 20 years and continues to enhance and quicken the process of therapy. My experience has provided me with the knowledge of and the usefulness of medications as well as the tools necessary for processing negative life experiences. I hope that I can be a benefit to you in your life and provide some relief connected with whatever issues are bothering you.
