I provide personal counseling in the areas of anxiety/phobias, partnership/marriage counseling, men's issues, LGBT struggles, mood disruption, and emotional/behavioral disturbance. In working with these concerns, I utilize the evidenced-based Wellness Model. In my counseling model, client-counselor relationship is comprehensive: I consider the contextual, multicultural, systemic, and societal factors that contribute to your distress as well as well-being. In our work together, our ultimate goal is not to treat a disorder, but to teach you how to remove the obstacles to the life you want to live freely and authentically. There comes a time in our work where the client/counselor roles we play fades away in the distance. At that moment, stripped away from ego defenses, we are left in a realm of complete authenticity revealing our humaneness to one another; only then can we genuinely see each other... Each person is highly unique, and no one model of therapy will fit with everyone.
