I became a therapist after a significant loss event in my own life many years ago. This event opened my eyes to the need for support, guidance and therapeutic interventions. I believe as my foundation that humans have the potential for growth by finding meaning not only in life, but in its challenges. I bring this perspective into the therapeutic setting. I am also a breast cancer survivor and wish to help other women face the challenges that a breast cancer diagnosis brings. I have personally developed programming and educational materials for children impacted by changing life events and directed a nonprofit organization dedicated to that population. My experience as an Educator and as a public speaker both locally and internationally have served to enhance my skills and abilities in practice.
