Whether you (and/or your partner) have been to a therapist before or this is your first time, welcome! Difficulties in marriage, relationship, intimacy, sex, family, loss or addiction can be very painful- but responsive to professional help. Throughout our work together I aim to fully understand your experience by listening without judgment, validating painful feelings and providing direction. We'll become aware of patterns interfering with you feeling and functioning the way you'd like. As our therapy together progresses you'll gain new awareness, and a better understanding of your decision making and the relationships in your life. I have advanced training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples. EFT fosters healthy, secure bonds by recognizing patterns destructive to your relationship. It is not concerned with judging or taking sides. EFT is an active technique, backed by extensive research, that gets to the root of relationship troubles. A good fit between therapist and client is important to successful therapy.
