I work with children and adolescents who are experiencing a variety of developmental and life transitions, as well as problems with anxiety, post-traumatic stress, attachment, inattention, impulsivity, depression, and disruptive behaviors. I engage families in a collaborative manner, and draw upon several treatment methods including cognitive behavioral therapy, child-parent psychotherapy, and play therapy. When clinically appropriate, I also provide autism evaluations and pyschoeducational evaluations. Fundamental to my practice is the belief that children communicate their needs through their behavior. Treatment often consists of simultaneously working with parents and caregivers to identify the root or function of their child's behavior, and teaching youth skills to manage their difficult emotions. I am currently working under the supervision of Dr. Paul Foxman at the Center for Anxiety Disorders in preparation for licensure as a psychologist-doctorate.
