I have been a local provider since 2006. I have worked in a variety of areas to include dual diagnosis rehabilitation, crisis prevention/intervention in hospital emergency room settings, and with children in the DCF foster care system. I counsel teenagers, couples, and individuals struggling with issues related to mood, sexuality, trauma, grief and loss. My goal is to empower you with reality based approaches and stress reduction techniques to successfully deal with stressful circumstances and traumatic events. Certifications- Cognitive Processing Therapy, Pursuing certification as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and Smart Recovery facilitator Member: Secular Therapist Project, Member: International Association of Trauma Professionals (IATP) When I decided to start a private practice in 2013, I realized the value of being able to offer a positive approach to individuals. Our goal together is to instill hope, health, and fun into life. I believe in the power of love and laughter through "carefrontation" of the issues we face in our lives.
