As I therapist, I appreciate the opportunities I am given to assist clients as they encounter and address uncertainty and doubt, disappointment, loss, and relationship challenges. My style is warm and nurturing, while also honest and authentic. I offer a safe and non-judgmental place for you to express your thoughts and feelings, explore options to resolve challenges you are facing, and support and encourage you as you face them. My experience and knowledge allow me to be highly effective with people who are experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and parenting and relationship concerns. I have served Athens and surrounding communities since 1998 when I began working with Advantage Mental Health Services. Through my training and experience, my specialties include substance abuse/addiction, body image and eating issues, gender identity and sexual orientation issues, and working with teenagers and young adults transitioning into adulthood. Change is challenging, but in my experience, great growth and progress occur when we are uncomfortable, unhappy, or unfulfilled.
