The decision to ask for help is not easy and requires courage. Part of the difficulty lies in choosing the right person to work with. All of us want to work with someone who cares, knows how to listen, does not judge, and ultimately is healing and can help in problem solving. In my 13 years of experience, I have worked with children, adults, families and couples. I enjoy this population enormously. My biggest strength is my empathy. My clients feel safe with me; they know I am an invested therapist and that I truly care. I am able to understand very difficult family and people dynamics. People present with signs and symptoms of mental illness, when their psycho-social environment is damaged and they loose hope. My two therapy dogs bring comfort and love to people. Dogs do not judge, they just listen. My two therapy dogs help my clients express their feelings while feeling safe and loved. Everything becomes better when my dogs are in my office. Children, their families and individual clients are able to soothe themselves with my dogs by just petting them and breathing.
