I have been a licensed clinical social worker for over 16 years. I work with adults who are experiencing problems that are interfering with their sense of wellbeing. Life can be challenging and overwhelming. It can be difficult to ask for help. Once you take that step positive change can result. In a safe environment, a trusting and therapeutic relationship is the key to developing more adaptive ways to handle your problems. I consider myself the facilitator to help you develop and create solutions that will utilize your strengths and incorporate healthy strategies to move forward in a confident manner. I work with people who are depressed, anxious, struggling with loses(death of a loved one, loss of career, loss of physical abilities, etc.). I work with people living with chronic medical problems as well as individuals diagnosed with bipolar disorder, and anxiety disorders. I use various types of therapeutic intervention including cognitive behavioral therapy, visualization and relaxtion techniques, and solution focused brief therapy. I listen with an open mind in a non threatening manner. I really enjoy my work. I have a very good understanding of many medical and psychiatric diagnoses as well as psychopharmacology.
