When someone is faced with emotional pain, knowing what to do is difficult and counseling can be freightening. As a marriage & family therapist and social worker, it is my practice to provide a safe environment for clients to resolve their issues of concern. Using the client's expertise of self as a vital part of my team is solicited and used along with my life experience and educational knowledge to make positive changes. Validation and client strengths are part of the therapeutic process. Feeling in control of one's situation and finding hope for a healthy future can be expected. Individuals, couples, and families struggling with eating disorders, relationship concerns, grief & loss, dependencies, depression and anxieties are the types of clients with whom I have successfully worked. I have had special Eating Disorder training, Emotionally Focused Couples training and Internal Family Systems training. My husband and I have been married for 43 years. We have three sons and daughters in law along with nine wonderful grandchildren. I have served as a board approved supervisor for the past seven years. I have been a guest speaker at the University of Zimbabwe in Africa.
