As eating disorder specialists with more than 20 years of experience helping our clients to develop a healthy relationship with food, body, and weight, we know that it takes more than shear "willpower" alone to successfully change your eating behaviors. And, while knowledge is good, we also know that there is a significant difference between knowing what you need to do in order to change your relationship with food, and actually being able to do it! For only when you identify "why" you continue to turn to food for such emotional factors as comfort, stress, boredom, loneliness, sadness, avoidance, anxiety and/or fear, can you hope to achieve long-term, sustainable, healthy change! At A New Beginning, we know that unhealthy, excessive diets don't work! And, as eating disorder specialists, we know that rigid, restrictive weight loss approaches lead to even greater obesity and, for many individuals, the creation of disordered eating. Two Ways to Approach Your Weight Loss Goals Committed to meeting the needs of each unique client, you can choose to experience the essential, interrelated components of our programming through our comprehensive The Healthy Weigh Out Transformational 8-week Program or, for individuals who are not currently able to commit to our 8-week program, you can choose to engage in a 'la carte services directed toward developing healthy processes in any one (two or three!) of the essential areas of Emotional, Nutritional and/or Physical activity health.
