I am a bi-lingual Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Qualified Supervisor for MHC interns with 10 years of clinical experience. My expertise lies in working with anxiety, depression, and challenging behaviors with various populations. I also have experience working with Alzheimer's patients and their care takers as well as children with autism and other developmental disabilities and assisting their family members with creating appropriate care plans. I have provided caregiver and patient counseling, support, educational programs and referrals in relation to Alzheimer's Disease. I have also facilitated caregiver support groups, social skills and sibling workshops for families raising children with developmental disabilities and assist them in allocating appropriate resources for their children and family members. I received my Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University in 2006 and my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Miami in 2004. My counseling style and goals are to provide individual, couples, family and group counseling in a supportive therapeutic environment in order to obtain best outcomes.
