Healing Mind~Body~Spirit The Samaritan Health and Living Center offers a range of therapeutic services with a highly trained group of clinicians. All of the therapists at the Samaritan Center believe in the inherent ability of all individuals to become healthy and happy in their lives and their relationships. We focus on empowering our clients to make positive changes in their lives through recognizing dysfunctional patterns learned early in life that can be changed by healing old wounds and mindfully choosing new behaviors. We work from a holistic perspective which can include the physical, mental, and spiritual aspects of one's life, depending on the needs and wishes of the client. Trauma-informed therapy All of the therapists at the Samaritan Center have been extensively trained in trauma-informed therapy, including EMDR. This therapeutic approach allows us to uncover and uproot the sources of much of the dysfunction in people's lives which is interfering with healthy, happy relationships. Learning new ways to thrive Much of individual therapy is an opportunity to unlearn painful reactions, but there are also opportunities to learn and practice new and healthier responses to life's challenges through group therapy. The Samaritan Center is in the process of developing a number of such opportunities for group therapy, including emotional regulation/mindfulness groups; addiction aftercare groups; sexual addiction/pornography treatment groups; and relationship enhancement groups.
