As a licensed mental health counselor, I am working with adolescents and adults. My theoretical orientation to counseling is rooted in the philosophy of a humanistic-existential approach to human functioning. I use the tenets of individual responsibility to choice and decision-making and apply them within a cognitive-behavioral perspective to counseling and clinical work. I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and minor in Spanish, a Master of Science degree in rehabilitation counseling with a focus on mental health and psychology from the University of North Florida, and a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Fielding Graduate University. In addition to practicing as a mental health therapist, I hold national certifications as a certified rehabilitation counselor (CRC) and certified vocational evaluation specialist (CVE). I have over 10 years experience in the counseling field working with diverse populations, including individuals with congenital and acquired disabilities.
