Parenting is hard work and children don't come with instructions! As a parent we often worry about our children's well-being and we want to do the best for our children. At the same time we can feel overwhelmed especially if our children have experienced abuse, are acting out, experiencing adjustment to a divorce or other family changes, making bad choices, or seem sad and worried. Sometimes we don't know where to turn or what to do next. You may start to feel like you've tried everything with no results. Our office specializes in providing interventions to help children manage their behaviors and learn self-control, overcome trauma, express feelings more appropriately, make better choices, and bond to adoptive/foster parents. I am a Registered Play Therapist-Supervior and offer a variety of play therapy treatments to address these issues. In addition to offering treatment, our office also provides psychological testing and evaluations so you can understand more about what is going on with your child. Testing can assist in identifying ADHD, Autism, behavioral diagnoses, Anxiety and Depression among other things. We have offices in both Decatur and Huntsville.
