As a narrative therapist, I take a positive approach to therapy; helping clients build on their strengths and resources as a foundation for change. I believe that therapy can offer clients much more than a band aid for their problems but that it can help transform their lives and relationships in meaningful ways. I believe that therapy does not need to be a long-term process and encourage clients to take an active part in therapy. My primary specialty is couples work. I am the developer of a published approach of couples therapy called Relational Accountability which seeks to help transform couple relationships and help them experience a renewed sense of love, communication, and connection in their lives. I have presented the model both nationally and internationally. I am a licensed marriage and family therapist and a clinical fellow and Approved Supervisor of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. I have a Ph.D. from Iowa State University.
