I provide individual psychotherapy for adults and adolescents with anxiety disorders, social anxiety disorder, depression, alcohol and substance use, ADHD and learning difficulties. My therapeutic focus also includes stress management, adjustment issues, trauma, women's issues, social skills difficulties, as well as gender identity, and sexuality. I have a strong interest in helping individuals examine issues relating to the intersection of identity and sociocultural, and systemic impacts from a multicultural feminist perspective. I also incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which involves examining and working on thoughts and behaviors which may negatively impact resiliency, self-concept, adjustment or mood. I've provided individual and group therapy in community mental health clinics, substance abuse facilities, and colleges. I completed a predoctoral internship and Multicultural postdoctoral residency at San Jose State University's Counseling Services, where I focused a significant portion of time developing a specialization in working with LGBTQ clients and communities (particularly transgender clients).
