Seven Hills is a 94-bed hospital that is dedicated to providing high-quality care for adults, geriatrics, and adolescents ages 11- 17 who are struggling with behavioral health and chemical dependency issues. At Seven Hills Hospital we make sure to take into account the security needs of each one of our patients and offer them the most comfortable therapeutic environment possible. Each one of our programs is designed to meet the specific needs of our patients by using a comprehensive and compassionate approach to treatment. Our treatment approaches are led by a team of highly trained psychiatrists and mental health professionals who have had years of experience working with individuals who have been diagnosed with a variety of mental health disorders and substance abuse issues. It is our mission to provide each and every one of our patients with exceptional treatment that will send them from our doors down the path of recovery armed with the tools needed to succeed. Signs and Symptoms of Substance Abuse Those who abuse or are addicted to drugs or alcohol usually display a number of signs and symptoms, however they will usually depend upon the substance being abused. Some symptoms of drug abuse may include increased physical health issues, neglected appearance, and changes in behavior. Those abusing drugs may also engage in risky behaviors such as stealing in order to continue to feed their habit, which leads to run-ins with the law. They may begin to withdrawal from family and friends, have long unexplained absences, and have an overall decline in their physical appearance. Over time, if not properly treated, the symptoms of substance abuse will only get worse and in many instances can end in death as the result of overdose or suicide. Treatment Options at Seven Hills Through a variety of treatment methods such as individual, group, and family therapy we aim to restore a patient's sense of safety and over all sense of well-being. Our inpatient programs provide patients with supervised and assisted stabilization for those patient who are in the middle of an acute psychiatric episode or are a harm to themselves or others. For those patients who come to us physically and psychologically dependent upon drugs and/or alcohol we provide medically managed detoxification. During the detoxification process patients are carefully monitored and may be given medication in order to safely and effectively remove all toxic substances from their body. Once the detoxification process is complete, they will be able to fully engage in the treatment process. Finally, in order to facilitate continuing care, we provide our patients with outpatient services including an intensive outpatient program and partial hospitalization program. These programs have a specific chemical dependency track and are a good alternative for individuals who no longer need the intensive structure of an inpatient treatment program. After attending treatment during the day patients will return home at the end of the day, allowing them to slowly reintegrate back into the community.
