I am an independently licensed clinical counselor, with a supervisory endorsement. I have always held a desire for providing help, compassion, and understanding to others. My therapeutic approach utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy and solution focused therapy. I believe in keeping a holistic view of the person and using therapeutic modalities that are practical for each client. I appreciate that everyone has experiences that are unique and important to them and their view of the world. My role is to act as a guide to increase understanding of how these have shaped their behaviors and responses to situations around them. I have a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and sociology from Concord University, and my Master of Arts in Counseling from Xavier University. I have 12 years of experience in the mental health field, and 7 years as a Licensed Professional Counselor. I treat disorders including anxiety, depression, and childhood issues. I began my career working with children and adolescents with severe abuse and trauma issues in a residential facility. Since then, I have worked with adults in an outpatient setting, and with children, adolescents, and families in home-based therapy and partial hospitalization programs. I enjoy working with children and adults.
