25 years of experience as a Dually Certified Counselor; Mental Health and Substance Abuse Counselor. The decision to change a thought, belief, pattern of behavior or circumstance starts when a person seeks a counselor to assist in the process. The choice is showing strength not weakness. A person is not impaired or defective when seeking a mentoring counselor. Change is a choice, but having the strategies to help the individual shift from disabled by a circumstance to empowered is a process. My goal is to see the resilient spirit within each individual and help each see it within themselves. I primarily serve adult clients in Mental Health for rapid alleviation of anxiety, depression, transitional issues and chronic pain management. Most of my mental health clients are able to resolve or experience a change within the first 8 sessions. Substance Abuse clients include alcohol, drugs, food, smoking, internet, gambling, etc. Our support staff is readily available to assist in choosing a therapist, making appointments and answering questions. We at Elmergreen Associates, Inc., work to maintain good standing on the provider lists of insurance companies, HMOs and self insured businesses. We are also certified to accept Medicare, Medicaid, and Security Health.
